Meet Your Terry Peer Advisors (PAs)
Hello 2015 Scholars!
I know there have been a lot of blog posts geared towards you guys this summer, but this one really is just for y'all. This year, we're trying something new, and we're excited to tell you about it! There will be four Terry Peer Advisors (two males, and two females) living in the dorm with y'all this coming year. This post is just to tell you a little about each of us, and what exactly the Peer Advisors will be doing for you.
The Females:
Kirsten Cottle is a Music Therapy Major who is obsessed with all things Marvel and Harry Potter.
Naomi Hall is a Psychology Major with a minor in Special Education who can crochet really, really well.
The Males:
Jack Zellar is a Music Education Major who loves The Walking Dead.
Brackston McKnight is an Agribusiness Major who can quote more movies than most people you meet.
Now as this is our first year to do this, we don't have everything set up, but we do know there are somethings we won't be doing, as you will also have the Resident Advisors who live in the dorm to help you out.
Resident Advisors are employees of the Residence Life office. They enforce the rules of the dorm, deal with serious roommate issues, and are there to lend an ear.
Really the only thing we have in common with the RAs is that we live with you, and are there to lend an ear. However we will be able to answer any Terry related questions, and we are more than happy to help with classes in any way that we can, especially the class you will be taking with Dr. Robbins. As things come up throughout the semester, you are more than welcome to come to us if you don't know whether to come to us, or if you should go to the RA, and we'll help you out in anyway we can, or send you on to the RA.
We really cannot wait to meet you all, and we'll see you when you move in!
