  • Plastic storage bins (if you think you need them)

Pro Tips:

  • Don’t plan to get much at Walmart or Target on move in weekend. It will be insane and things will go out of stock.
  • Unless you don’t plan on going home on weekends and breaks, don’t bring absolutely all of your clothes. You won’t need your winter coat in September, and you won’t want your tank tops and shorts in December. Trade out clothes as the weather changes. (Plus you don’t have all that much room anyways)
  • Over the door things do not work well in our dorm.
  • Command Strips are not allowed in Lone Star Hall.
  • Refrigerator does not hold as much as you think. (Same for the freezer)
  • Don’t worry about buying bed risers, the beds go really high as it is.
  • Don’t bring everything you own, you will accumulate stuff as the year goes on.
  • Coordinate on cleaning supplies and bathroom things with your roommate so one person doesn’t have to buy everything, and you don’t have two of things.
  • Rolling dollies are life savers while moving in.
  • Move in day will be crazy crowded.
  • If you are worried about measurements and such, you will be staying in Lone Star Hall for orientation. Bring a measuring tape to orientation and measure anything you're worried about.
